Last years WSOPE was amazing and I am very proud to have been involved in the whole thing. We could not have asked for better publicity after Annette15 smashed the main event apart and shook the entire poker world to its roots. The fact a 18 year old Norwegian girl navigated one the toughest fields ever assembled to become the first WSOPE champion and youngest bracelet winner ever was truly amazing.
The schedule for this year was released earlier this week and to everyones delight we have added a smaller holdem event in the form a £1500 event
September 19th, 2008 – Event 1
£1,500 – No-Limit Hold’em Day 1A (3-day event/2 opening days)
September 22nd, 2008 – Event 2
£2,500 – H.O.R.S.E. (3-day event)
September 24th, 2008 – Event 3
£5,000 – Pot Limit Omaha (3-day event)
September 27th, 2008 – Event 4
£10,000 – World Championship No-Limit Hold’em (5-day Event/2 opening days)
Over the last few weeks i have been working closely with my top partners organising exclusive WSOPE promotions with the majority leading the $480K GTD WSOPE satellite on the 7th of September with a massive 20 main event packages up for grabs. We have some great promotions up on RakeTheRake, Pokerisivut, SmartGambler, Rakerebate GetRake, Pokerlistings, FishyPoker, Rakeback.com, Rakebrain and loads more.
Just as I became to get excited about the prospect of the 2nd WSOPE and all the fun that goes with it I realised the CAP Barcelona is taking place during the WSOPE main event. As much as i would have loved to have been there for the WSOPE nothing quite compares to CAP conferences and certainly not CAP Barcelona. Barcelona is up there as one of my favorite cities in the world. Last years CAP Barcelona was phenomenal great conference and great parties, especially the crazy nights in Pacha.

That was the best thing for the poker world to have Annette take down the WSOPE, The more woman that win big events the better for the game, It will only bring more of the ladies and guys trying to take them on. I just watched the WSOPE 2007 on Youtube and by the end Annette Pwned everyone! I also saw her play donw under in the Aussie Millions, very quiet & unassuming (Unlike her aggressive play)
